Morristown officials predicted that the renovated Pioneer Park in Headquarters Square would become a popular entertainment spot when they cut the ribbon return in June 2021.
Audiences will get a taste of those possibilities with a pair of free shows this month.

Coming from a long generation of musicians and singers, his talent captures and harnesses these skills through his songwriting and vocal delivery.
And on Wednesday, September 28, MPAC will present the percussionist Emedin Rivera and his
wide range of contemporary musical genres. Emedin’s unique rhythmic percussion clearly emphasizes Latin-Caribbean-African influences. Emedin has performed with such accomplished artists as Stevie Wonder, Harry Belafonte, LaToya Jackson, Sting, Gregory Hines and Ben E. King.
The two one-hour concerts begin at 5:30 p.m. Pioneer Park is at 3 Speedwell Ave.
