You are listening to Expresso Entertainment’s update. Here is the latest news from the world of TV and OTT platforms brought to you by The Indian Express.
“Let’s start with news from actor Nikhat Khan, producer and sister of superstar Aamir Khan. She is set to make her TV debut with a Star Plus and Disney Plus Hotstar show called Banni Chow Home Delivery, according to Hindustan Times.

Created by renowned television producer Shashi Mittal, the series stars Ulka Gupta and Pravisht Mishra in the lead roles. Besides Nikhat, Rajendra Chawla, Harsh Vashisht, Vishal Puri, Parvati Sehgal, Ayush Anand, and Pooja Singh among others are also part of the supporting cast.

The show is a Hindi adaptation of Khukumoni Home Delivery, a show by Star Jalsha, an entertainment channel for Bengali-speaking viewers. The story follows an orphan who delivers food from house to house for a living.
“Meanwhile, fans of Munawar Faruqui have expressed concern after not seeing him among the participants leaving for the filming of Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 in Cape Town. His team has now confirmed that he is indeed a participant in the show but will join later. Filming begins next month.

Earlier, Munawar was seen in Andheri with his girlfriend Nazila and even shared a message for his Mumbai comedy show on Sunday. Munawar will make his acting debut with a music video. The project is doubly special as it will feature him alongside Nazila. Filmed in Chandigarh, the music video is titled “Halki si Barsaat” and was sung by Saaj Bhatt.

In other news, Actor Rashami Desai and the late actor Sidharth Shukla had become household names with their TV show Dil Se Dil Tak. People loved the chemistry between the two stars. Their off-screen relationship also drew attention as the two engaged in nasty fights on the set of the show and also on Bigg Boss 13.

However, Sidharth’s sudden disappearance last year left Rashami heartbroken. Although people criticized her for faking her sadness over the actor’s death, she was unimpressed with what others were saying about her at the time. In a recent interview, Rashami shared that when Sidharth passed away, she was going through a tough time on a personal level and it made her “heartless” and quite “strong”. ”
In other news: Kapil Sharma recently joined Akshay Kumar to promote the latter’s film, Samrat ‘Prithviraj’. A video of their meeting reiterates that Akshay wakes up before sunrise and goes to the gym. The comedian joins the actor for a “pre-breakfast banter,” but ends up running off seeing the kind of hard work Akshay puts into it. Sharing the video, Kapil wrote on Instagram, “What an experience! Training with @akshaykumar at 4am was definitely better than sleeping. Watch our video!”

Earlier today, Yash Raj Films shared a letter announcing the new title for the period drama. Previously titled Prithviraj, Akshay Kumar’s film is now titled Samrat Prithviraj.

Speaking of the latest buzz in town, Panchayat season 2, many were eager to get to know the man who penned such an interesting script with such colorful characters. Indian Express caught up with Chandan to find out what was behind the conceptualization of Panchayat. Chandan thinks his personal experience of life in a village helped him engrave the characters well. He said, “See, when you are familiar with this world, it becomes easy for you to write about it. Being from Patna, I often visited my village. The memory of the people there is still in my mind. ”
“Jaaved Jaaferi, started the dance reality show Boogie Woogie back when the concept of such shows didn’t even exist. He recently said the idea was initially rejected and called “cheap”. Jaaved had already made a name for himself as a talented dancer with his acting debut in Meri Jung,..

During a recent chat with Mashable India, Jaaved recalled that it was his brother Naved Jaaferi and his friend, actor Ravi Behl, who wanted to produce a dance show in India. At the time, this kind of show did not exist anywhere in the world, he says. “We had no point of reference, as to how a reality show is made.”

“And finally, the review we’ve all been waiting for. Here is Stranger Things, one of Netflix’s most popular original series, returns for its fourth season after considerable anticipation. Although the children look noticeably older, only six months are believed to have passed in-universe. Anyway, after the whirlwind Season 3 finale and everything that happened with the Mind Flayer, a lot of our heroes are scattered. Eleven, who lost her powers to the Upside Down’s biggest beast, lives in California. Jim Hopper, as we know, turned up alive but is stuck in the hostile Soviet Union.

It does teen or coming-of-age drama well, its selling point is horror elements that are scary enough but also pulpy and campy. ”
